About the opportunity

As the Operations Manager, you will manage the overall provision of operational and administrative services for Sydney Imaging Core Research Facility.

Sydney Imaging has been established as a new Core Research Facility and includes both Preclinical and Clinical imaging facilities, as well as the Hybrid Theatre. The mission of the Sydney Imaging CRF is to provide a core set of state-of-the-art imaging equipment and associated services to researchers across disciplines.

Reporting to the Director (Sydney Imaging), your key responsibilities will be to:

• develop and manage overall administrative services and operational support for Sydney Imaging
• provide strategic advice, operational leadership, and management support to the Sydney Imaging executive
• manage the facility-specific operational services and support
• manage operational budgets, and coordinate the financial, compliance and reporting requirements for Sydney Imaging
• develop and manages operational aspects of the facility's external collaborations and partnerships
• manage one direct report, and oversee all facility staffing related matters
• promote a professional, client focused culture

About you

• tertiary qualifications in business administration, commerce, or a relevant field
• experience in an operational management role
• experience managing a diverse group of key stakeholders in a university environment, or a complex/multi-faceted organisation
• financial management experience and literacy, experience managing budgets and controlling income and expenditure
• excellent interpersonal, and communication skills with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills
• exceptional workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively to achieve required outcomes
• the ability to cultivate productive relationships with staff, partners and facility users.
