Our busy client in Calgary is currently seeking an Operations Accountant to join their fast-paced team for a contract opportunity.

As the Operations Accountant your day to day responsibilities of this contract role may include, but not be limited to:

• Reviewing and analyzing monthly operating costs
• Assisting with internal reporting
• Preparing operations budget
• Preparing monthly journal entries and accruals
• Maintaining cost centers and allocations
• Assisting with joint venture audit queries
• Ad hoc duties as required

Requirements

Showcase your skills as an Operations Accountant with our client. The successful Operations Accountant will possess the following:

• 3+ years of previous experience in a similar role
• Prior experience in the energy industry would be an asset
• CAPPA certification would be an asset
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability and willingness to learn
• Solid understanding of oil and gas terminology
• Strong attention to detail
• Exceptional communication skills
• Available to start immediately
