We are looking for an Online Merchandiser to formulate and deliver trading strategies in conjunction with Category Managers and the Online Marketing team. You will also aid the Trading Team in driving demand through improved planning, reporting and in-season management.
As an Online Merchandiser, you will provide support in weekly and monthly trade meetings by identifying opportunities and risks whilst ensuring the analysis provided by the Merchandise Planning and Trade teams is clear and insightful. Finally, you will provide an Operational Plan and Forecast to all relevant areas of the business that reflect the performance of Harrods.com.

As an Online Merchandiser , you will work with key people in the business to set demand, sales, margin & EBITDA targets, including with Trade, Marketing, Finance and core Buying and Merchandising teams.
About you
You will have experience in producing divisional demand, sales and margin targets; working with the Online Trading Managers to examine growth opportunities relative to brand growth, product mix development, site trading improvements and marketing activity.
In addition, you will know how to build weekly phasing and divisional profit and loss, as well as, analyse the profit and loss and suggest actions to improve. You will also be familiar with demand, sales & margin reporting to report on sales and margin performance, reviewing successes, weaknesses and issues to deliver clear trading actions and objectives. Lastly, you will be accustomed to producing regular forecasts.
You’ll have excellent communication skills as you’ll act as a key point of contact with internal teams for trade analysis and action across departments and you will be able to build strong relationships with divisional counterparts in the store merchandising teams, to establish a clear understanding of communication needs and collaborative working.
An element of flexibility in working hours may be required around the needs of the business (e.g. Year End, Budgeting, Sale.
