Christmas at Sainsbury’s all starts with a simple click. Whether that’s a customer clicking the order button, the click of the in-store Christmas lights, or you, clicking to join us as an Online Assistant and helping us create fantastic festive shopping experiences that keep people coming back all year round.

As an Online Assistant this holiday season, you’ll be making Christmas happen either behind the scenes or picking products on the shop floor - selecting the best quality produce, just like you would if you were shopping for yourself. Putting each order together, you’ll give customers exactly what they’ve asked for. Or if we’ve sold out of anything, you might choose a replacement that’s the closest match. 

Alternatively, if you take on one of our more general roles, you’ll be getting savvy with the various tech systems to make sure all our online orders arrive on time and in perfect condition. You’ll be speaking to customers over the phone, putting the orders through the tills and working with our Online Drivers to load their vans so they’re ready to deliver to our customers - working and winning as one cohesive team. 

We don’t ask that you bring any specific experience to the role – just that you’re driven to do the right thing for our customers and the ability to work at pace. You’ll have a keen attention to detail and passion for great customer service and be open to learning how to operate new technology. Importantly you’ll also be comfortable lifting and moving shopping containers weighing up to 15 kg.
