Office 365 Security Solution Architect - 112024

THE ROLE

AMD is looking for an Office 365 Security Solution Architect to provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise in all aspects of Office 365 services. In this key role your experience with Microsoft Office 365 services and security are crucial. In this role you will partner with project teams, vendors, support organizations, and functional architects to drive Office 365 security migration/adoption from inception to production implementation.

The Person

As an O365 Security Engineer in IT, you will help mature the security posture of Office 365 service. You will influence others with your security mindset, while managing productivity requirements of the deployment, and successfully influencing others to inspire change at all levels. Your experience in the IT infrastructure area and IT architectures in a public cloud environment will enable you to be an integral part of our IT team!

Key Responsibilities

• Define Office 365 security strategy, roadmap and commitment to change.
• Collaborate with application, and infrastructure architects, and be responsible for defining-designing-delivering of the technical architectures, patterns, technical quality, risks, fitness for purpose and operability of technical architecture solutions.
• Drive ongoing enhancements to security controls to address changing security landscape and risks.
• Be a member of O365 technology team and design secure solutions.
• Perform security assessment to identify vulnerabilities/risks, design and document solutions/controls.
• Lead technical presentations, demonstrating a good understanding of application, data, infrastructure, architecture expertise and application systems design.
• Be a leader and mentor to operation team; be hands-on and lead by example; coordinate cloud operation.
• Be able to troubleshoot hands-on and solve technical issues; own the problem and drive the resolution.
• Responsible for leadership and delivery of enterprise project based assignments that encompass system architecture, proof-of-concept and production deployment.

Preferred Experience

• Deep experience in both Office 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive For Business, etc..) and security practice.
• Infrastructure Administration & solution design with hands-on experience in Microsoft Office 365 and/or Azure cloud.
• Demonstrable experience in developing scripts using API calls.
• Experience designing, building, deploying, and managing workloads in Office 365.
• Good understanding of Cybersecurity and Data Privacy requirements, Data Loss Prevention, Information protection, data classification and other parts of security practices.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to work well with others.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to all levels of management.

Academic Credentials

• BS/MS in EE, CS, or similar
