The purpose of the Nursery Assistant is to assist in the development of product lines, develop sales and support with the day to day running of the Garden Shop, liaising with the management team to improve range and stock control, enhancing the customer experience and focusing on maintaining profit margins. To highlight the nursery and its position within the wider John Lewis Partnership  horticulture business.

What you’ll be doing as a Nursery Assistant (Retail)

• Working with Nursery partners to develop sales in the Garden Shop

• Working with the Nursery and Landscaping teams to fulfill customer orders

• Liaising with suppliers, placing orders and stock control

• Gaining understanding of the bespoke EPOS system

• Compliance with procedures and standards

What you’ll have

• Retail Experience & a passion for excellent customer service

• Willingness to learn in an Indoor/outdoor Nursery environment

• Desirable experience skills and qualifications in retail / horticulture

What else can you bring

• Certificate in Horticulture desirable 

• Retail experience essential
