What will you be doing? 

As a Network Operations Specialist, you will be dedicated to one key customer, providing professional expertise on the day to day management of the customers strategic network and in the handover of services from Provide to Assure. 

You will assist in project delivery on behalf of the customer with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.  You will liaise with both customer, Vodafone internal technical groups and external suppliers to deliver all Provide related activities within SLA timescales.  

Responsibilities will include:

• Supporting rapid restoration of CNI network fault resolution within SLA (and prior to critical Service failure where possible) 
• Provide technical support / issues arising within the CNI environment at Data Centres, working with associated Service Desks to ensure the correct action for an incident is taken and posted to the correct resolving agency (with necessary diagnostics / impact assessments) 
• You will investigate network problems identified using pro-active (management) tools - where possible before critical Services are impacted  and ensure that incidents are escalated according to the Operational Procedures Document as required 
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with key customer stakeholders 
• *Please note - This role is offered on a 24/7 Shift basis
• Candidates must be eligible to undergo vetting to secure MoD SC (the criteria being 5 years UK residency)
   

Who are we looking for?  

• Experience of working to 2nd line support level on PDH, SDH & Radio Communications environment 
• Understanding of network management and use of Network Management Platform tools. 
• Must be PC literate and competent with Word/Excel/Visio/ MS Project  
• Track record of successfully prioritising simultaneous activities within SLA 
• Self-motivating individual with the ability to develop strong customer relationships as well as functioning in a team environment 
• CCNA minimum 
• Approved best practise qualifications such as ITIL
• Any Industry Standard SDH, PDH, Telephony or IP Accredited qualifications
