What will you be doing?
The main purpose of this role is to plan and implement new software loads, new hardware, products and features onto the Vodafone UK Voice Network. The primary focus is Voice solutions and inter-platform integration but, with the convergence of solutions and technologies, the role implicitly covers elements of CCS, data networks, internet, optical transport and hosting.
Key Responsibilities:
You will develop, produce test plans and test case documents for verification testing and formulate agreements with the customer, and other suppliers e.g. Ribbon, Ericsson & Nokia. This will include setting up test environments and completing test cycles and reports. You will deploy new software/patches into live environment, maintain, enhance and support test tools & lab environments and support operational teams with complex faults.
Who are we looking for?
Detailed knowledge of testing Voice telecommunications systems, e.g. Softswitches, Intelligent Network, STP’s.
In depth knowledge of NETSCOUT SPECTRA Tester.
Working knowledge of signalling systems, e.g. SIP(I), ETSI ISUP, C7 (BTUP), Q.931, and INAP.
Self-motivating and self-managing – able to identify and prioritise areas requiring attention or where value can be added
Strong analytical skills and ability to identify potential risks and problems
