We are looking for a Network Engineering Manager to lead and manage a team of five L2/L3 Engineers & Architects, who are dedicated to delivering end user and corporate network services for a Major Leisure & Hospitality customer.
You will have full flexibility to work from home in this role, but with the occasional requirement to attend customer sites in areas like Hemel Hempstead from time to time.

Your role
Your role as the Network Manager will have responsibility over line management, day to day work allocation and acting as the key point of contact for the customer on workload and priorities.
This is a customer facing role, and working closely with the Service Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing stakeholder relationships with the customer including scoping, costing and resourcing customer projects and ensuring delivery of a high volume of BAU RFC work.
You will use your technical background and knowledge of networks and the customer business to direct priorities, activities and resources in line with our contractual obligations and network best practices.
Day to day
· Line management of a team of 5 engineers, including resource allocation, performance management and workload prioritisation
· Act as the first point of contact for the customer on new work requests and advising on timescales for completion
· Manage the engagement to contractual terms. This will include managing the expectations of both customer and internal stakeholders and providing the customer with optionality and input into prioritisation decisions.
· Own and manage the change management processes with the customer, including engaging in customer RFC process
· Create a great customer impression of the company's technical skills, dedication, method, and approach
· Create high quality documentation of internal processes and systems, develop/mentor junior engineers
· Embrace industry trends, improve internal processes, and constantly evolve tooling
· Work closely with the Service Delivery Manager to ensure that all contractual obligations and SLAs relating to Network Services are met.
· Provide input on monthly performance to support with Service Reporting
· Liaise with shared services network operations on shared workload and Incident Management
· Act as a point of escalation for internal and customer stakeholders on issues and incidents - take ownership over managing through to resolution where needed
· Engage in and follow internal change and problem management processes in order to proactively identify opportunities for service improvements
Your background
We would like to speak with you if you have;
· Strong experience managing a team of network engineers, ideally in a telecoms, outsourced or managed services environment
· A background / experience in network engineering
· A real passion for delivering excellent customer experiences
