About the Role

This role gives you the opportunity to work across our full network infrastructure (LAN/ WAN, Public and Private Cloud Services). You’ll be part of a Network team of 8 who are responsible for managing networks across all Drax UK sites. Day-to-day the role will involve dealing with service-related issues (incidents and requests) and providing technical support for project related workstreams which will include some level of design work.  

You’ll be responsible for managing UK wide networks comprising of Cisco (switches, routers & firewalls), Palo Alto (firewalls & panorama), Checkpoint firewalls, Meraki wireless and F5 Load Balancers. You’ll also manage and maintain network elements within both Private and Public cloud environments (AWS and Azure).

About You

This role will be a great fit if you have experience with most or all of the below:

• CCNA certification or be able to demonstrate technical hands-on knowledge at that level

• Configuring /supporting Cisco switches (IOS, IOS-XE, Nexus) and Cisco Routers

• Configuring /supporting Firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Checkpoint etc.)

• Supporting large scale networks at Level 2/3 and experience

• Working with/supporting an internal user base
