Job Title Multi Skilled Engineer - Electrical

Reporting to Hard Service Supervisor
Purpose of the Job
To effectively ensure the day to day delivery of planned and reactive maintenance tasks. This will involve utilising your core skills to deliver the Exceptional service to CBRE and our clients. This will include the supervision of specialist sub contractors and liaison with the on-site management team and ensuring all CBRE and sub-contractor processes and procedures are followed and paper work is up to date; also ensuring that all Health and Safety procedures are followed as per the CBRE QHSE guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
1. Delivery of this service in accordance with CBRE Managed Services, Procedures and Policies.
2. Ensuring the efficient and effective operation, maintenance and repair of the sites M&E Plant and Equipment and Services.
3. Compliance with and record keeping for CBRE Managed Services ISO 9001/14001 etc and all Quality Management Systems
4. Attending meetings on site representing CBRE to the highest standards on client meetings. This will involve reporting back to the client any actions that arise in a timely fashion.
5. Organise and assist in reactive repairs and PPM’s to the sites M&E systems (BMS, Air Conditioning, Generators and LV Electrical Distribution and Switch Gear etc).
6. Carry out reactive repairs as instructed by Contract Support or Contract Management in line with the Service Level Agreements.
7. Prioritising reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks to ensure optimum levels of service delivery are being achieved.
8. Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance is carried out in line with task schedules.
9. Advising the Contract Supervisor/Manager on holiday/absence cover as necessary.
10. First line supervision of Specialist Service Contractors, including induction and signing off and actioning minor works listed on service report sheets in accordance with the Contract Supervisor.
11. To carry out any additional duties as directed by the supervisor or manager.
Accountabilities
1 Reporting to the Hard Service Supervisor / Contract Manager
2 Accountable to the Hard Service Supervisor / Contract Manager
3 Accountable day-to-day to the relevant client contacts.
4 Accountable for keeping the CBRE logbooks up to date and the relevant sub-contractor book work.
5 Ensuring all CBRE QHSE procedures are followed and use the A-Z CBRE rules where required.
Person Specification
Education:
· A good basic education is essential, with good written and spoken English and basic mathematical skills. Recognised technical qualifications to carry out the role of a multi-skilled CBRE engineer.
Training:
· Fully qualified to level 3 electrical and IET BS 7671 18th Edition. C&G 2391 desirable.
· Should have served time as an apprenticeship or followed a recognised formal training programme and completed at least additional experience in a related industry environment
· Knowledge of other building services an advantage.
Experience: (Essential)
· Thorough knowledge of commercial & domestic electrical/mechanical systems and associated plant.
· Working to Planned Preventative Maintenance Regimes.
· Fault finding on electrical equipment and circuits.
· Knowledge of lone working requirements.
· Fully understanding of H&S safe working processes. Risk Assessment awareness/trained.
· Experience/understanding of critical plant for the support of Data Centres desirable.
Aptitudes:
· Good verbal communication skills at all levels,
· Good written English skills,
· Able to acquire and maintain sufficient knowledge of a buildings operation and services.
· Able to work outside of discipline.
· Able to communicate effectively with the client and represent / promote CBRE positively.

Circumstances:
· Working hours:
o Early shift – 07:30-15:30 Mon-Fri
o Late shift – 10:30-19:00 Mon-Fri
o Shifts rotate fortnightly
o On-call 1 week in 4.
· To be flexible regarding working hours,
· To be willing to contribute to out of hours on-call rota
· To be willing to undertake overtime when offered.
· To be willing to travel between CBRE sites when required at reasonable notice.
· Driving License essential
