ABOUT THE JOB
We are pleased to announce that we have an exciting opportunity for an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer to join the most iconic luxury retail brand in the world.
The successful candidate will carry out all maintenance work in various prestigious sites, dealing with technical and general maintenance, within a safe environment and to a high quality, on the full range of building fabric.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Build strong relationships with managers, staff and external contractors
Learn and uphold the high standard of maintenance required within a flag-ship fashion boutique
Prioritise and schedule PPM and reactive maintenance tasks based on health and safety concerns and needs of the business
Contribute to open-forum discussions on projects and works, and have a flexible approach to problem solving
YOU ARE ENERGISED BY
Completing tasks within set time frames
Interpreting technical, detailed manuals
Diagnosing faults and the ability to assign to appropriate 3rd parties when required
Assisting in problem solving and communicating technical knowledge to others
Completing all necessary paperwork in a timely manner
Working with minimum supervision and making decisions to identify and prioritise own workload
WHO YOU ARE
18th edition and NVQ3 qualified
Experience as an electrician in a commercial environment, as well as the ability to work across all trades including basic plumbing, carpentry, and air-con. Five plus years of experience preferable
Experience with PPM checks such as testing fire alarms, emergency lighting, PA testing and fire door checks.
Hold a basic grasp of computer literacy
Smart, presentable, friendly and approachable, with good communication skills, as well as the ability to liaise comfortably and appropriately at all levels
Self –motivated, organised and enthusiastic, with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude to the role
A flexible attitude and approach to work to accommodate tasks/emergencies
Effective team member
CRB check required
With travel to Ireland and Manchester sites to carry out maintenance tasks in line with business needs. Normal working hours are 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, with weekend/out of hours on call duties. Flexibility with regard to working hours is essential.
