We are looking for a candidate with experience at the interface between software and hardware, with a focus on heterogeneous SOC design, GPU architecture, and a wide range of software interactions from device drivers to to ML and HPC libraries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Helping to guide technical roadmap decisions for the organization in charge of machine learning and high-performance computing software.
• Interacting with a wide range of software teams in a technical capacity to make software, architectural, and process changes to increase the performance and efficiency of AMD’s GPU compute software.
• Interfacing with hardware design teams to drive required features into future architectures, and to optimize and tune features in existing hardware.
• Developing tools and methodologies for performance analysis. Writing and maintaining high-performance software and algorithms.
• Participate in collaborative development and workload performance optimization with AMD’s partners and customers.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Our team covers a wide variety of areas, but we have experienced staff that will help train candidates in unfamiliar areas. • Hardware/software co-optimization, with a focus on GPU interactions
• Parallel and concurrent programming and Linux application development
• Operating system / kernel device driver development
• Machine learning or high-performance computing software
• Software tooling such as profilers, debuggers, and instrumentation engines
• Hardware debugging skills
