The Vodafone Mobile Private Network (MPN) portfolio is a newly established business area that aims to meet the operation technology (OT) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) digitisation needs of new and evolving business verticals supporting their Industry 4.0 and SCM 4.0 targets. This business area is targeting new addressable revenue with double-digit growth year-on-year. 

Vodafone Business has identified the need to establish and grow its strength in this area with the ambition of positioning Vodafone as a key player and partner of choice in these areas.

In order to fulfil this objective Vodafone Business leadership require an MPN SIM and Devices Solution Architect to provide 
•    Technical leadership and design solutions for secure eSIM/SIM/UICC, Remote SIM Provisioning (RSP), and Over the Air (OTA) platform functions, which are critical to the MPN business.
•    Technical leadership and design solutions for mobile devices security throughout hardware, firmware, and communication protocols. This role will include analysis of mobile applications, mobile vulnerabilities, mobile frameworks, mobile device/app management, mobile development solutions, and assessment of risks introduced by mobility solutions provided by vertical MPN propositions. 
•    Technical leadership and design solutions that includes sensors deployed in industrial environments and its connectivity to the mobile network.
 

As an SIM and Device Architect here's what we'll be looking for you to bring:

•  Knowledge of testing and certification of eSIM and UICC/SIM cards
• Understand SIMs and Devices specifications in industry forum (e.g. 3GPP, ETSI, GSMA). Provide input to relevant Vodafone representatives in these forums for broader adoption. 
• Ensure compliance with relevant Regulatory requirements and Policies.
• As a technical leader, provide an in-depth business and technical expertise on new SIM architectures, key management, and security/cryptographic function
• Experience in Software development experience using Java,C and Python
• SIM or secure element development experience
• Knowledge of SIM card testing, HTTPs, and Key management
• Knowledge of authentication algorithms (e.g. Milenage), processes, and mechanisms
• Knowledge of policy rules, provisioning profiles, and profile management
• LTE/5G network architecture, network service provisioning, remote service provisioning (RSP), and 3GPP protocols
• Apply expertise knowledge of multiple Mobile Device Management (MDM) technologies to design and engineer secure mobile solutions
• Advisory on development of mobile ecosystem governance for internal MARS (mobile app registry system) system and ensuring customer’s applications adhere to its policies, standards and guidelines
• Cooperation with information security policy roles and other teams regarding mobile device and application management implementations and deployments
• Identification and deployment of defensive controls for customer’s mobile devices: strong authentication, encryption, integrity…
• Good understanding of sensors, sensors communication protocols and precise location technologies

With us, you will:

• Define develop and maintain architecture and technical roadmaps for MPN SIM and Devices including effectively evaluating build/rent/buy decisions.
• Be responsible for engaging with technical and business stakeholders to understand their needs, prioritise the delivery approach, and guide technical leads in solution delivery as a design authority.
• Assess the ongoing success of solution security related to SIM and Devices and report on progress and requirements compliance.
• Accountable for “Secure by Design” implementation in MPN solution.

• Experience in mobile platform attack and defence techniques
• Knowledge of LTE, 5G network
