Mitchell's Livestock Transport is the largest transporter of high value cattle in Western Australia and has been in business for over 70 years.

We are currently looking for a Motor Mechanic and a Diesel Mechanic to join our team based in Waroona.

You will be responsible for carrying out a range of maintenance services including planned maintenance, repairs, overhauls and modifications to various types of Vehicles.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to be trade qualified and have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position.

You will also need to demonstrate:

• Strong work ethic
• The ability to work as part of a team and independently
• Reliability and punctuality
• In-depth knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment and mechanical systems.
• Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving.

Responsibilities will include:

• Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises and conducting scheduled testing as appropriate.
• Monitor, identify and respond promptly to signs of malfunction in vehicles and equipment.
• Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment.
• Perform emergency repairs on various types of vehicles; identify and replace worn or damaged parts in a timely manner.
• Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions.
• Maintain vehicles and the adjacent workplace in a state of appropriate cleanliness; create and maintain a schedule for inspection, service and testing of vehicles and equipment.
• Read and comply with work orders concerning vehicles and equipment.
• Work effectively with other team members.

Remuneration packages between $85,000 to $105,000 will be offered to the successful candidates.
