Downer New Zealand are seeking a Telecommunications Rigger that is experienced and qualified for projects in New Zealand. You will be based in Christchurch however there may be an opportunity to move within the South Island.
About the role:
Reporting to the South Island Field Manager, you will be responsible for the upgrade and installation of mobile networks for our Major Customers. Working within the parameters of time and cost, you will provide technical rigging support, be innovative and able to generate solutions that produce results.
Building positive relationships with customers and clients, you will show commitment to quality work practices and ongoing quality assurance. You must be committed to actively following our Health and Safety protocols.

Suitable applicants with the following skills and abilities will definitely have an advantage:
· Minimum Level 3 NZQA Telecommunications or Equivalent or alternatively relevant experience as a rigger within the telecommunications industry
· Knowledgeable with reading and interpreting plans.
· Current Certificate in Rigging (Intermediate or Advanced Rigger preferred) with NZ Cert in Rope Access
· Current Working at Heights Certificate.
· Competency based qualification and experience with Elevated Work Platforms (EWP).
· Current Full Drivers Licence Class 1 or 2
· First Aid Certificate.
· Ability to use fault finding equipment and competent in fault restoration
· Deliver as-builts as and when required to a high standard.
· The ability to travel and stay away from home as required for build or fault work
· An energetic personality and enthusiastic approach to work.
· Sound computer skills for record keeping.
· Excellent customer service skills.
· Must be a self-starter, positive attitude, work autonomously and work well in a team environment.
