Job Description

What will you be doing?

  • Evaluating the manufacturing process of parts and components of press tools.
  • Investigation and comparison of the different processes to produce parts and tooling components.
  • Analysis of the cost, time, and quality of using different manufacturing routes.
  • Market research and investigation into 3D metal printing techniques and equipment.
  • Evaluation of the skills and techniques needed to produce 3D metal printed parts effectively.
  • Calculation of the Business Case for the implementation of a 3D metal printing project at BMW.

Qualifications

  • Studying towards a 2:2 Bachelor degree- preferably in Automotive, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Management, Quality Management or other relevant field.
  • Previous work experience within a related field is beneficial. 
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills/techniques.
  • Knowledge of or experience in working with CATIA.
  • Very good IT skills- in particular MS Office and MS Project.
  • Knowledge of or experience in working with other softwares such as SAP, IFS, TEBIS.
  • Ability to think analytically and in a structured way.
