COMMUNICATIONS, PLANT TOURS AND EVENTS INTERN.

We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate people to join the busy communications team within our manufacturing plants at Oxford and Swindon, working across internal communications events and plant tours.
Communication – whether internally to our staff or externally to the media and other key stakeholders – is central to our success and these placements are a fantastic chance to develop your career in communications, working for the world’s leading premium automotive manufacturer.
The individual will also play a key role in the growth of our award-winning Plant Tours, from day to day operations to putting an effective marketing plan in place. Over 25,000 people visited Plant Oxford in 2019 – over 20 tour groups per day.
Role and Responsibilities
In this role you will have your own tasks and projects as well as supporting the communications manager(s) in their daily work.
You will get involved in the planning, organisation and execution of events, large and small, for a variety of audiences from employees, to charity fundraisers to VIP or external visitors. You will also play a part in the delivery of our plant tours for customers and fans of the brand.
As the plant tours develop the marketing to the public will become an important part of the role. This role is based at the manufacturing plant and not part of the MINI / BMW Marketing team.
Improving and innovating is important, so you will be contributing to the further development of how we do things. This could be introducing new communications channels or developing the Plant Tour offering to improve the overall visitor experience.
You will also support other areas of the department as necessary including daily business tasks and admin.
