Role purpose:
Office IT delivers the core of Vodafone’s Global Digital Workplace service offering to the entire global workforce of 100k Vodafone people, split across 25+ markets world wide, as well as to our extended workforce including contractors, suppliers, partners. With our services, we ensure employee productivity and engagement and drive a positive employer brand and our ability to attract and retain talent, embedded in Vodafone’s global digital transformation strategy towards becoming a Technology Communications Company.
In this dynamic environment we require a highly experienced architect who is capable of leading the required technology and architectural transformation towards a standardised, modern digital technology foundation, well embedded in the wider enterprise system landscape. As a cross-functional role, it is expected to drive product coordination & orchestration, driving for cross-product synergies towards a coherent platform strategy and architecture that is compliant to security, privacy or legal regulations. This role informs our business strategy by outlining threats & opportunities, shaping our transformation roadmaps and inputting into our investment plans and priorities.
The architect is expected to influence effectively stakeholders as various seniority levels (including but not limited to Global Functions like Cyber/Corporate Security, HR, Property and all operating companies) and to operate effectively under minimal direction, with a track record of delivering successfully in a complex matrix organisation.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
• Owns definition & evolution of Office IT Technology & integration standards, drives integration into corporate tech standards, related market guidance and adherence
• Accountable for cross-domain standardisation, cross-product synergies & governance
• Shapes business, architecture and operating model design and guides transformative change, contributes or leads tech selection processes, directly enabling business strategy formulation, respects and harmonises local requirements
• Interacts with & Influences business & tech stakeholders up to senior mgt to drive modern workplace design, harmonisation & best in class cloud & integration strategy
• Accountable for engagement with relevant security policy owners, participation in policy definitions and refresh cycles, influencing and educating effectively to ensure alignment and applicability for the Office IT portfolio.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
• +10 yrs of professional experience in large scale architecture solution design, system integration design across enterprise workplace solutions
• Deep knowledge in employee productivity services based on Microsoft 365/Azure and integration points towards corporate identity & access and cloud licencing frameworks, and broad range of enterprise HR/ERP cloud services.
• Experience in design and stakeholder engagement for security/privacy compliance
• Strong analytical skills, consultative and problem-solving mind-set
• Proven capability in communicating with / influencing effectively stakeholders up to C-Level
• Experience in / strong appreciation of working in virtual and multinational teams
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• Deep and broad understanding of Microsoft 365 /Azure service portfolio & architecture
• Expertize in key technologies such as network, client/server mgmt, Microsoft Active Directory, end point and mobility platforms, modern authentication
• Microsoft Certified preferred
