The Manawatu Microscopy and Imaging Centre (MMIC) is a multi-user facility housed within Institute of Fundamental Sciences at Massey University in Palmerston North. Servicing Massey University, Crown Research Institutes, other teaching institutions, hospitals, and commercial clients we provide services utilising the latest equipment needed for Transmitted Light and Fluorescence Microscopy (Widefield and Confocal).
We are now seeking a person with microscopy skills to assist with the preparation and microscopic analysis of samples and to help train clients. Experience with light microscopy is essential. Experience with electron microscopy, particularly Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) would be an advantage. The MMIC is a multi-user facility that provides services in light, confocal and electron (TEM and SEM) microscopy on a range of physical and biological samples to Massey University researchers as well as external clients. As the successful appointee you will be comfortable providing technical and training support for all of these users.
