Working in a fast-paced environment, the successful candidate will have a passion for merchandise space planning, strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail. The role will be diverse, challenging and require a strong understanding of business operational procedures and stakeholder engagement. Prior space planning experience is highly regarded.
Selection criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in FMCG/Retail industry
- Prior demonstrated space planning experience is highly regarded
- Prior exposure using space planning software programs is preferred
- Strong reporting and analytical skills
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office suite, particularly Excel
- Prior experience in project management and implementation
- Strong attention to detail
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability adapt in high stress situations
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Role responsibilities:
- Liaise with Buying teams in relation to category space limitations and product positioning
- Coordinate store layout recommendations using Spaceman software
- Create, update and maintain store planograms
- Coordinate in-store planogram implementation
- Act as a central point of communication between the Buying department and greater business
- Database management
- Assist Buying staff with category reviews
- Manage various merchandising projects as required
- Facilitate training as required
- Assist the Merchandising Director and Merchandising Manager in all administrative requirements
