 THE ROLE:

We are currently growing our GPU driver development team and are looking to hire multiple senior contributors to drive end-to-end delivery of our GPU based software offerings in 3D graphics, Compiler design, Machine learning and advanced GPU tool development.  The positions will involve interfacing with software and hardware engineering teams and AMD partners to plan, develop and optimize use cases. This is an exciting opportunity to work to work with a top-notch team on the cutting edge of GPU rendering, computing and machine Learning.

THE PERSON:

We are looking for a subject matter experts and strong technical contributors with GPU programming experience in graphics APIs, low level GPU programming, shader compiler design, machine learning, performance optimization or tool design.  The individual will be a member of a team where communication and team skills are highly valued.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work within a small team to analyze, implement, and optimize GPU driver SW in one of our key technology areas.
  • Collaborate with ISV, library, compiler, driver, and hardware engineers to influence strategic decisions to achieve the highest performance and best tooling
  • Innovate new algorithmic improvements that exploits the strengths of the hardware architecture to deliver the best possible performance.
  • For the compiler role, you will be responsible for the research and development of cutting-edge compiler features for the next generation AMD GPUs.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in GPU related programming or Shader Compiler design.
  • Strong C++ skills, knowledge of CPU and GPU architecture
  • Experience advocating for technical solutions in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience in GPGPU programming technologies and working with GPU shaders (CUDA, OpenCL, HLSL)
  • Experience with Direct3D, Vulkan APIs
  • Experience in deep learning frameworks and familiarity with CNN/LSTM model architectures, and machine learning APIs.
  • Good understanding of compiler and computer architecture and experience with the LLVM  compiler framework a plus.
