Our client is a well-known local business in the heavy transport industry and they build all the customised equipment in-house. As a result of growth, they are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join the team in 2022.

This is a purely hands-on role where you will be fitting mechanical parts on their equipment. You will be working on varied projects as part of the team and they could take between a couple of weeks to months to complete.

You will need to come from a mechanical fitting background, and if you have extensive experience in hydraulics in particular, it will be highly regarded. You will be fitting pumps, meters, brackets, valves, etc.

You will be working alongside a large team of tradesmen in their awesome workshop that was built just over a year ago.

In summary, the requirements are,

• A mechanical/ fitting background. Trade or time served.
• Excellent hands-on fitting skills, ideally on heavy equipment
• At least some experience with hydraulics
• Engineering aptitude with a high standard of workmanship
• Good communication skills and able to work as a team
