We are looking for an Mechanical Engineer with mechanical engineering background to support sub-system designs and production build support through fast-paced product development cycles. You have high ambition to learn with growth mindset.

Responsibilities

Support sub-system designs, such as FPC mechanical design, Shield-can design, plastic and sheet-metal parts, from end to end while working with other engineers and designers. Flexible to work and grow in Tolerance Analysis, Build Support and Dimensional Analysis areas.

Collaborate with project managers, designers, production, and internal customers to ensure needs are understood and addressed in a timely manner.

Work with the Product development team located in United States on production build supports and assist in root cause analysis investigations during engineering and production build cycle.

Work with the production manager and suppliers to continuously seek improvements for cost, quality and efficiency in the manufacturing processes.

Synthesize component requirements, create new 2D/3D CAD design and review existing CAD geometry for accuracy and update as needed.

Qualifications

• B.S. Mechanical engineering required, M.S. in related engineering discipline preferred.
• Have good working attitude and growth mindset.
• Ability to clearly communicate in English as well in Mandarin.
• Able to travel to supplier sites to support design and manufacturing activities.

Desired Skills and qualification:

• Has mechanical design experience as a Mechanical Engineer, with mechanical design experience for medium or high-volume consumer electronic devices is a plus.
• Has experiences in CAD tools, e.g.ProE/Creo/SolidWorks. Creo is a plus.
• Experience with mechanical design and manufacturing of FPC design, sheet metal parts, plastic parts, CNC machined parts and other mechanical parts is highly desired.
• Working experience with 3D Solid modeling and 2D Mechanical Drafting is highly desired.
• Prior experience working on High Volume Mfg. product development is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of mechanical tolerance analysis and Design of Experimentation (DOE) techniques is a plus.
