Introduction:

The Material Planner will form a key part of the Gatwick Part 145 Operations Support team. In doing so they will be a point of contact for any Material Planning issues during execution and preparation for customer maintenance inputs.

They will represent their team at internal and external meetings as well as working closely with Boeing Part 145 Technical & Operations Support Teams to ensure deliverable plans are driven to execution.
They will form a key point of contact for customer technical representatives ensuring customer requirements are satisfied.

With our continued growth, this role will play a key part in the development and implementation of new procedures as well as project work in support of our continued improvement working closely with the Lead Material Planner. During periods of leave and training the Material Planner may be required to deputise for Lead Material Planner.

Responsibilities:

  • Become an integral part of the Material Planning team by building robust plans to meet customer material requirements ahead of and during maintenance inputs.
  • Ensure regulatory requirements for Material sourcing are adhered to at all times.
  • Alongside the Lead Material Planner, represent the Material Planning Team during internal and external audits.
  • Take ownership of department objectives and goals.
  • Work closely with the department stakeholders in creating cross team dynamics and ensure all processes and procedures are monitored and kept up to date.
  • Participate in any required pre-input / progress meetings.
  • Continuously monitor processes to ensure maximum efficiency can be achieved.
  • Ensure prior to start of input there has been no revision changes to the approved data.

Work Authorisation:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants.

Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.

Required Qualifications:

  • Be able to work unsupervised but also be a team player who will grasp opportunities to exceed the expectations of internal and external customers.
  • Previous experience of using the AMOS system.
  • Have at least 3 years’ experience of working in a maintenance environment, preferably within a supply chain and / or Material Planning function.
  • Must have excellent organisation skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Candidates must have the right to live and work in United Kingdom and Ireland
