    We have an exciting opportunity for a Markets Product Risk Manager to join our Markets Business Risk Team.

    In this role you'll provide informative, high quality analysis, advice and guidance for our ‘One Risk and Control Self Assessment’ (ORCSA) risk management framework and relevant business risks and controls to the Markets businesses in RFB (Client Products: Treasury Services) and LBCM (Financial and Capital Markets), executing control and tailored to senior partner needs.

    You may also lead on group transformation programme risk assessments in conjunction with the business and may deputise for more senior colleagues at risk forums and committees to present risk MI and analysis.
     

    Key responsibilities - every day is different but you'll:

    • Support the Markets business with subject matter expertise on risk matters and implement and adhere to the ORCSA framework. This role will have particular focus on supporting the Treasury Services business however is a shared service role and there may be LBCM requirements.
    • Handle important internal client relationships across the business: CBBR, LBCM entity risk, CCOR, Audit and other partners.
    • Identify shortcomings, suggests improvements and implement approved revisions to current compliance processes, systems and procedures
    • Analyse key themes using risk and conduct data from a wide range of sources and identifies possible impacts on the business, presenting at various risk forums and committees.
    • Identify shortcomings, then suggest and implement improvements to existing business practices, while developing and delivering projects or a work stream within our organisational change programmes.
    • Proactively uncover emerging issues/needs and identify potential causes, related issues, key partners and barriers.
    • Develop team procedures and interprets and applies policy for area of expertise to achieve specified outputs, or advises the wider business on application of policy, then supervises implementation of those procedures within the organization.
    • Recommend ways to improve support for operations by changing policies, processes, standards and practices.
    • Assist in the design and implementation of a compliance programme while ensuring adherence to regulatory and compliance standards by collaborating with the regulator and/or supervises the activities of a regulatory/compliance team.
    • Develop and/or deliver a contingency plan for significant aspects of the risk management & control process.
    • Take ownership for implementing a personal development plan while informally coaching others throughout the organisation in area of risk expertise and pursuing and investing in opportunities for own personal development.
       

    Key experience and skills:

    Do you have comprehensive markets business knowledge and wide experience across a number of financial services and risk subject areas? You'll also bring:

    • Knowledge of compliance regulations and derivative markets products
    • Risk and control framework experience (preferred)
    • Able to implement change, and to drive the strategic direction of Markets products
    • Experience of interacting with senior colleagues and the ability to influence and successfully challenge management to achieve an effective control framework.
    • Excellent reporting, analysing data, presenting, challenging and debating skills with senior partners
