About The Role
We have a fantastic opening for a Trade Planning Specialist, Core Grocery to join our large Marketing department based at Morrisons Head Office, Bradford.
In this role you’ll be a key part of the team that ensures the customer plan across our core grocery food category is delivered in a timely and accurate manner;
To drive sales on all core grocery feature space on a periodic basis
To allow brilliant execution in store & online
To facilitate communication to our customers through the most effective channels
To ensure decision making is led by customer insight
You’ll be responsible for supporting the planning, delivery & communication of our customer planning activity for Core Grocery. Working closely with the commercial teams to build a customer focused trade plan, driving sales and improving the promotional offers and variety for customers.
Always ensuring that promotions are clearly articulated to our colleagues and help to create clear guidance on how to implement the campaigns in store.
Work/Life balance is important to us. This permanent role benefits from a 4 day working week. The typical working pattern is 4 days per week of 9 hours per day, based in our Bradford Head Office - with some remote working - so it’s important that you live within a reasonable commute, able to work from the office as and when needed.
There is also a requirement to work 1 in 4 Saturdays (6 hours), our teams generally use Saturdays for planning, team meetings and project work.
About You
This role holds the following responsibilities;
Attending category quarterly planning sessions to align on strategic ambition and to champion the voice of the customer
Facilitating feature space planning across all areas of core grocery
Managing the critical path across the business unit to ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner
Lead the formal leadership approval process for core grocery promotions
Creation of promotion changeover documents to ensure retail have all the information to implement all core grocery promotions right first time
Relationship building with retail colleagues to create a culture of continuous improvement
Financial review post promotional period to maximise effectiveness of all promotional feature space
Key Requirements;
Essential
Experience of the commercial marketing sector
Experience of retail environment and ensuring compliance with policies & procedures
Understanding of commercial and marketing functions
Proven track record of delivering in a large organisation; Ability to manage multiple projects
Analytical and creative with Commercial and financial understanding
The ability to look for ways to improve customer satisfaction, profitability and productivity
A team player with a positive attitude
The ability to work under tight time constraints and reactively
Desirable
Ability to use specialist consumer reporting tools to aid in data led business decisions
