Where you'll be working
Within Northern Sydney Local Health District(LHD) you will be based at our St Leonards screening and assessment centre. You will also be required to travel to our various screening sites (Hornsby, Brookvale, Warriewood, North Ryde and on occasion to the Central Coast LHD (Erina, Bateau Bay and Woy Woy).

What you'll be doing
The Marketing and Communications Officer is responsible for increasing the number of women who participate in the BreastScreen NSW program within Northern Sydney and the Central Coast. Communication and information are key to supporting women to engage with the program to find breast cancers early.
This role will develop and implement strategies to inform women to increase awareness and the importance of breast screening. These strategies will engage local women, community groups and other key stakeholders.

Tertiary qualification in communication, marketing or relevant health discipline with demonstrated experience within a health related arena or significant relevant experience.
Demonstrated ability to apply a strategic approach to community engagement.
Demonstrated ability to communicate with influence with excellent written and oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the principles that underpin health promotion practice and have the ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate health promotion strategies.
Ability to investigate and interpret data to inform the development of strategies and marketing plans.
Proven networking skills and experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders including working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
Current NSW drivers licence.
