Here's what you'll be doing...


â–ª Cover Market Risk over a range of asset classes (FX, Rates, Credit, Repo, Algorithmic and Electronic platforms).

â–ª Review risk managed across a variety of desks within the LBCM Trading floor - FX Options, Rates Options and Commodities.

â–ª Undertake bespoke projects to improve challenge and understanding of risk run within LBCM Financial Markets.

â–ª Improve and simplify current processes to ensure clearer, more accurate and simpler risk reporting around Market Risk.

â–ª Identify and learn about changes in regulation which may impact Market Risk and other key partner areas.

â–ª Discuss and advise other areas within Market Risk about potential new risks or processes and procedures which may impact them.

â–ª Support in mentoring and education of new joiners and colleagues on a graduate scheme.

â–ª Liaise with other areas of LBG to advise them of Market Risk issues which may impact on their day to day business for example Finance, Infrastructure and Compliance.

â–ª Works independently to collate and analyse data using pre-determined tools, methods and formats.

â–ª Organises and prepares sophisticated documents by using multiple computer applications, while also capturing and summarising data for special reports.

â–ª Delivers prescribed outcomes for a designated part of an Economic Research program by working within established Economic Research systems.

â–ª Keeps track of risk parameters and identifies and reports any major deviation to more senior colleagues while working within established risk management systems.

â–ª Navigates a wide variety of existing processes, procedures and precedents to interpret data and identify possible answers.

â–ª Interprets market data and sees opportunities by using a wide variety of existing processes, procedures and precedents to support the treasury/trading team on more complex activities and assist more senior colleagues in the maintenance of external relationships.


Ideally you'll be based in London or be able to travel to London 3 days a week.


What we need from you...

  • Skills in Excel, VBA, SQL and Python.
  • Knowledge of derivatives such as swaps and options.
  • Degree in numerate subject.
