This is a first time offered opportunity for someone who is passionate about hotels and sales to make an impact as part of Australia’s first market lead sales structure. As Marriott International continues to expand in the Melbourne market, we are restructuring to deliver a best-in-class sales organisation that paves the way for the other states.
The Market Account Director is responsible for providing total account management for a portfolio of high value, complex accounts, to increase Marriott’s preference and loyalty across the collection of ten Melbourne hotels, including the W Melbourne, Westin Melbourne, Melbourne Marriott Docklands and soon to open Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne.
A typical day in the life of the Market Account Director would involve establishing and nurturing relationships across the portfolio of accounts that could involve activities such as site tours, hard hat tours of the pre-opening hotels, hosted entertainment and famils, representation at trade shows and some domestic travel. The ideal candidate will need to be a chameleon – able to evolve from representing our premium & lifestyle brands one day to delivering the most refined account management for our luxury hotels the next.

Future career paths could include a move to an on-property director of sales/sales & marketing leadership position or a role within the global sales organisation – either within Australia or abroad.
