Join us as a Margined Financing Structuring Associate

  • Sitting within Repo & Risk Transformation Structuring (R&RT), a successful and strategically important front office desk, you’ll be responsible for innovating and structuring fixed income financing trades across a broad range of asset classes
  • We’ll look to you to help convert existing trade opportunities, working towards an ambitious financial budget with growth aspirations
  • You’ll undertake research, analysis, and product development to market new ideas and support structuring activities

What you'll do

You’ll become a valued member of a global structuring desk with a broad product remit, encompassing margined financing and credit solutions. The primary focus of your role will be the structuring and execution of secured financing transactions, and you’ll interact constructively with clients, trading, origination, and support functions to pitch, analyse, negotiate, and execute transactions and identify structural risks.

You’ll also be responsible for:

  • Working with customers across UK and Northern Europe financial Institutions, funds globally and European corporates
  • Providing support to senior structuring associates on transactions with the aim of taking on greater responsibilities and eventually leading transactions
  • Developing and maintaining client relationships, income streams, or new business opportunities
  • Taking all reasonable steps to ensure structuring activities are in line with our policies covering conduct, operational, credit, and regulatory risks

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with front office and client-facing experience in the financial - or a related professional service - sector. You’ll also have the ability to quantitatively evaluate financial risk, and dissect documentation to identify and explain structural risks.

As well as this, you’ll demonstrate:

  • Practical knowledge of core banking regulations and accounting principles
  • Confidence when presenting and negotiating
  • The ability to process multi-faceted commercial projects
