Manager Silicon Design Engineering
Requirements:
• Have in-depth knowledge of ASIC design/verification processes, flows and methodologies from design specification, defining architecture and micro-architecture, RTL design and functional verification, coverage convergence, synthesis, Physical Design, Tape-out, and post-Si debug
• Expert knowledge of Verilog, System Verilog, UVM and C/C++
• Solid understanding of synthesis/STA flows and constrained-random simulation environments
• Understanding of hardware and software interaction within a system
• Experience using industry standard tools and adaptability to utilize home grown tools for ASIC design and verification
• Experience with 3D pipeline and industry graphics standards (DX/OGL/OCL) is a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem solving skills and excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication, mentoring and leadership skills
• Skilled at driving team and tasks to completion with superior quality
Responsibilities:
• Be able to manage functional teams across various geographies.
• Ability to network, build relationships, and drive effective decision-making across multiple functions and levels within the organization and externally with customers.
• Highly organized, able to prioritize and juggle multiple work streams to hard deadlines.
• Understand the high-level architecture of the graphics IP and functional block being designed by the engineering team
• Coordinate with Architects to enable the engineering team to understand design trade-offs and Performance/Power/Area challenges when developing micro-architecture of the functional blocks.
• Manage team tasks related to design implementation, test writing, verification infrastructure development and debug of functional, performance and power related issues
• Coordinate with Physical Design team to enable the engineering team to identify and resolve block synthesis and timing closure issues
• Coordinate with Project Management team to track engineering team’s progress towards project milestone deliverables.
Qualification:
• BS/MS in Computer/Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of hardware design/verification and management experience.
• 3 or more years of experience in managing ASIC design/verification teams of 5 or more people
