A vacancy exists for a Manager Financial Services – Regional Airlines, reporting to the Senior Financial Services Manager.
- Provide financial leadership and support to the AC Regional Airlines Division in the ongoing management of their business activities including Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting relating to the Capacity Purchase Agreements with the Regional carriers
- Develop and implement Financial Performance Indicators for a better understanding of the cause and effect relationship of costs and to assure the efficiency and the performance of the branch
- Deliver value added service to internal customers by identifying, and evaluating profitability enhancing opportunities and strategies, internal process changes and new cost savings opportunities
- Work with senior management teams, develop and recommend financial goals, objectives and strategy aligned with the Corporation's overall financial plan
- Lead and coach team to foster professional development and maximize value delivery to branches
- Train and support clients, managers and staff in execution and delivery of financial goals and alignment with organizational priorities
- Develop and manage strong and effective working relationships with executives, branch head, internal groups and strategic partners and ensure buy-in of solutions and changes in processes and strategy
- Effectively communicate business unit financial results
- Monitor and analyze financial performance of the Regional Airlines Division against forecast and ensure corrective actions are undertaken as required; perform post-evaluations of projects/programs as appropriate to assess actual versus target results
- Lead financial evaluations and participate in Rate setting exercise with the Regional carriers with a focus on obtaining all possible cost savings
- Ensure a consistently high-level of quality in service provided relative to both timelines and accuracy
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Business or Finance with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience in a large, complex organization is a pre-requisite
- Accounting and/or business designation (CPA, MBA, CFA) is a preferred asset
- Strong business sense and critical thinking capabilities
- Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical skills required
- Proven leadership qualities and strong sense of initiative
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in team environment
- Excellent ability to communicate at an executive level in both verbal and written formats for presentation, analytical and report generation purposes
- Solid work ethic, high degree of energy and dedication
- Keen interest in the airline industry
- Demonstrated organizational skills to handle multiple projects, ability to shift priorities and work under pressure
- Very proficient on Excel, PowerPoint, Access and experience working with financial software/applications.
