About the team

This role sits in the Corporate Services Finance team within Sydney Metro. In this role work collaboratively with Projects Finance and Commercial Teams in relation to complex and specific transactions to assess and provide advice on accounting impacts and treatment

The opportunity

We have an amazing opportunity to join Sydney Metro. The Manager – Financial Reporting role provides technical accounting and financial reporting assistance to the Senior Manager, Statutory Reporting with a significant focus on Projects. This includes analysis of financial project information to ensure compliance with relevant accounting and financial reporting requirements. The role provides advice on appropriate accounting treatments for proposed transactions including working closely with Project Finance and Commercial stakeholders on all accounting matters.

About you

You have a membership of a professional accounting body, with extensive experience within financial reporting in a large complex organisation preferably with a focus on infrastructure projects.

You will have strong technical accounting skills keeping abreast accounting developments and communicating complex accounting topics to non- finance specialists and assisting in interpreting and applying Australian Accounting standards.

You will have strong stakeholder management, working with different teams internally and externally of Sydney Metro.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is Grade 9A ($138,670) – 9E ($155,309) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
