Are you looking for a new and exciting opportunity within IT to lead a team who are responsible for resolving high profile and high impacting issues?

We are currently recruiting for 2 major incident team managers to lead a team of colleagues through one of the biggest transformation projects in the UK. If you have leadership experience and enjoy the buzz of a high pressured, fast paced environment then this is the role for you. You will be ultimately responsible for the fast resolution of high impacting incidents across our stores, home office, distribution centres and this role is key to the minimising impact to the business.

Your Role:

As a Major Incident team manager at Asda, you will be there to lead, guide, coach and drive the Major Incident team (12 colleagues) through high impacting and urgent technical issues. This is a high visibility role whereby senior leaders and executives rely on solid, clear updates from the team and you will be required to support Major Incidents as an escalation point, using the Senior Service Operations Manager as an escalation when required. You have the opportunity to make the team your own, creating and building team roadmaps to drive quality outputs to drive improvement, alongside identifying opportunities and working with the wider function to prevent reoccurrence of incidents or improve any challenges you/the team may face. Support for Asda applications and services is offered globally, meaning you will interact with different leaders from other countries allowing you to build relationships and use your influencing skills to get the right outputs.

About you:

  • You will have direct line management experience, with a proven track record of leading a large team to success
  • This role requires a tenacious candidate who always sees service as number one priority
  • You will be proactive, resilient with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • You have a background in IT operations, or a role which is specifically related to critical decision making
  • You enjoy working in a fast paced environment where the direction is constantly changing
  • You will be passionate about your colleagues development and aim to always get the best from colleagues

If flexible working is important to you, then look no further! At Asda, we are proud of our culture and our commitment to flexible working. This role is based at Asda House, Leeds with the flexibility to work from home 2-3 days per week

You will also get an excellent benefits package including;-

  • £5,700 company car or car allowance plus discretionary company bonus
  • Company pension up to 7% matched
  • 10% colleague discount, free parking and many additional rewards.

We want all colleagues to be able to bring their best and true selves to work, every day. Simply put, we want our colleagues to be Proud to be Asda and proud to be themselves.
