The Corporation of the City of Cornwall is recruiting for a Maintenance Repairperson for community housing properties throughout the Cornwall and SD&G area. This position ensures that community housing properties and units are maintained to standards set by Health and Safety and residential tenancy legislation. The Maintenance Repairperson is responsible for cleaning of common areas and general repairs of community housing units (family and seniors). The position is also responsible for general upkeep of buildings and grounds to project a positive image of community housing.
To be considered for the position, our candidates must have completed their high school education; have a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a repair worker, maintenance technician or building maintenance worker; Proficiency in the use of tools and equipment; Knowledge of basic electrical standards for installation and repairs; Knowledge of basic plumbing installation and repair practices; Intermediate computer and technology skills required; Must possess and maintain a valid unrestricted driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.
The City of Cornwall offers a competitive wage starting at $22.84 per hour, 40 hours per week. The City also offers a comprehensive benefits package.
