EDF Renewables UK is one of the UK’s leading renewable energy companies, specialising in wind power, solar and battery storage technology. We develop, build, operate and maintain wind farms and other renewable technologies throughout their lifetime. 

As a Maintenance Planner, it is your job to create, develop and manage planning and scheduling of all site activities. This role will be pivotal in liaising with other teams within Asset Operation to optimise the annual maintenance and repair plans, drive efficiencies in planned downtime and minimise unplanned downtime.

Planning cycles will also feed intro production forecasting and it is essential that you establish close working relationships with stakeholders.


What’s my role and where will I fit in?

Working within Asset Operations, this role will include but is not limited to the below:

•    Support the creation of a centralised planning process, with key outputs being an annual plan that can be used to produce production forecasting and labour workforce requirements
•    Develop and install relevant Key Performance Indicators to measure the effectiveness of and adherence to plans and schedules
•    Administer the work planning system, holding and recording the workload metrics
•    Create insights through metrics to support the balance between emergent and planned work
•    Assist the Inventory & Spares team to guarantee that the correct inventory level and value are maintained for both servicing and main component replacements campaigns
•    Provide planning support and oversight for OEM operations and maintenance resourced sites. 

What do I need to be good in this role?

To be successful in this role you must be an experienced Maintenance Planner and have experience dealing with large technical assets and an appreciation of the scale of operation within the renewables sector.

This will be a collaborative role so you should have excellent stakeholder management skills.

You will be self-motivated and ambitious. It is also beneficial to have Project or Maintenance Planning skills along with planning tools competency including MS Project/Primavera, and MS Office or equivalent.
