Job Description

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a multi-skilled Mailroom Operative to join the team located in Feltham.

The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for providing a service for all mail handling (normal, registered, courier and anonymous) as well as being accountable for receiving, signing, distributing and shipping of all incoming / outgoing mail and parcels.

This role will include but not limited to receiving, locating, storing, packing, inventory control, liaising with customers, post room activities, administration and stationery ordering.


Key Tasks:

  • Primary focus on delivery of Mail Services & Postage, Distribution, Shipping and Receiving in accordance with KPI & Output measurements
  • Handle all direct customer email and telephone enquiries to the Mail Room
  • Organise shipment next day/same day deliveries / collections
  • Record incoming courier / parcel / recorded and registered mail, retaining accurate records to facilitate tracking
  • Checking of all receipts for quantity, quality, safety and security and accuracy of documents
  • Ensure all mail is collected, sorted, and distributed correctly
  • Process all courier requirements on a daily basis
  • Oversee the maintenance of the Mail Room equipment, including Franking Machines
  • Ensure accurate and up to date documentation of Mail Room procedures
  • Ensure departmental and reps lists / pigeonholes are updated when required
  • Carry out Goods Inwards & Porterage activities
  • Monitor and record mailroom stats for all incoming and outgoing mail / deliveries
  • Provide checking system for items of equipment being returned to mailroom.
  • General mailroom control segregating departments requiring space.


Experience:

  • Experience of working in a customer service environment
  • Experience within a post room environment
  • Awareness of manual handling
  • IT skills including MS Office
