Job Description

We are seeking the skills and experience of a B2 Avionics Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer based at our Townsville Helicopter operation in QLD.

The purpose of this position is to provide maintenance and logistics support to Toll Helicopter aircraft and support equipment, through the application of documented aircraft maintenance procedures, and application of knowledge and skills in relation to aeronautical engineering practices and techniques.

The role will occasionally involve periods away from the main operating base to support Customer deployed operations, and aircraft recovery throughout NSW, ACT and QLD.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Aircraft â€‹Avionics trade experience, with a current CASR Part 66 B2 Type rating on a medium (twin engine) helicopter
  • Completed â€‹MEA50110- Diploma of Aeroskills (Avionics)
  • Extensive experience maintaining twin engine helicopters (AW139 desired)
  • Current Australian Drivers License Â·        
  • Eligible for NV1 security clearance.

Qualifications

Tertiary

  • Completed a Diploma or cert IV of Aeroskills (or military Equiv). Avionics which provides a qualification pathway to a new CASA B Licence (B2) or to an equivalent interim maintenance authority.
  • CASA B2 AW139 type rating
  • A minimum of 18 Years old and 5 years’ experience in the aviation industry.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Civil Aviation Regulations.

Desirable

  • Category C licence
  • Experience on AW139 line and base maintenance highly desirable.

Licences/Authorities

  • Aviation Security Identity Card.
  • Australian Drivers Licence.
  • Forklift licence (Desirable
