Our Investment Banking Leveraged Finance team is seeking a driven and highly motivated Senior Analyst to join us in delivering Citi’s unique and comprehensive capital raising and financial advisory services to top corporations and private equity sponsors worldwide..

Within the Investment Bank, the Leveraged Finance team is in charge of originating, structuring and executing leveraged loans and high yield bond transactions on behalf of corporate entities and financial sponsors across all geographies and industry groups.

Role Overview

As a Senior Analyst within Leveraged Finance, you will work in a collaborative environment, on a variety of situations such as leveraged buyouts, acquisition financing and refinancings, among a broad spectrum of industries and across both leveraged loans and high yield bonds. You will participate in raising secured and unsecured debt as well as providing debt and capital structure advisory.

Responsibilities:

• Perform credit analysis and understand key credit considerations
• Prepare internal credit memos, with the ability to define the memo structure and collaborate actively with the other teams (including investment banking sector and coverage teams)
• Produce client pitch materials and participate in client discussions
• Prepare offering and marketing materials for loans or high yield bonds (e.g. information memorandums and prospectus, rating/roadshow/lender presentations)
• Support Associate / Vice President in managing key transaction workstreams and internal teams
• Develop a good understanding of Loans and High Yield legal documentation
• Provide training to junior analysts in the team
• Proactively monitor news and events pertaining to Citi’s leveraged finance clients
• Demonstrate particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets

Qualifications:

• Prior relevant experience in a front office investment banking environment , ideally within leveraged finance
• Bachelor's degre
• Experience in evaluating corporate transactions and structures and building financial models
• Demonstrated problem solving and organizational skills
• Consistently demonstrated clear and concise written as well as verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with teams and track business development (collect research, analyze industry / market trends)
• Self-starter and ability to work in fast-pace environment
