Treescape Auckland is seeking two Specialist High-level Arborists to work with the heavy clearing team conducting large removals including regular crane and helicopter dismantling.

These positions are for experienced specialist arborists who are comfortable and confident undertaking large, complex removals, rigging, and assisted dismantling.

If you have the skills and want experience on the largest, most iconic projects and removals in NZ then this is the position for you! Some travel is required on occasion so you will have the opportunity to see other parts of the country as part of your role.

We have an excellent team of experienced staff and the best access to mechanical support in the country and as a lead arborist, you will be a key part of this team and have the ability to earn great money and opportunities to progress your career.

Ideally, you will be level 4 (or above) certified but we value experience highly and as such encourage you to apply if you think you fit the bill.

Your skills and attributes:

• Minimum 5 years experience in the field
• Qualified NZQA Arborist Level 4 (Ideal)
• Be a team player with a safety-focused attitude
• Good knowledge of tree and shrub identification
• Rigging, Crane and Helicopter removals
• Minimum Class 1 Driver Licence and current First Aid certificate
• Be able to pass regular drug tests

• To be eligible for this position you must currently be living in NZ and have a legal right to work in this country (i.e. NZ Citizenship, be a permanent resident, or hold full working rights)

• Candidates will be required to undergo drug and alcohol testing, a medical exam, and Ministry of Justice checks as part of the recruitment process (at Treescape’s cost).

• This is a permanent and full-time position working Monday to Friday 47.5 hours per week. Additional hours and flexibility are generally available.
