We’re looking for someone passionate about data to sit within our Legal Innovation Team. You will be responsible for defining and building business intelligence to support managing our outside counsel (OC). In addition to OC, you will support our wider Legal Operations objectives. You will need to infer trends from a variety of data sources and confidently deliver interpretation

What you'll do:

• Develop, iterate, and maintain key performance indicators and end to end dashboards for Outside Counsel Management (OCM)
• Provide insight into Outside Counsel Spend and identify opportunities
• Ensure billing and data is accurate, work with Finance teams to reconcile as needed
• Support Finance with creating and maintaining OC budgets and forecasts
• Oversight of Matter and User setup to ensure meta data is accurate
• Maintaining & updating Law Firm Finder directory
• Analyse and clearly communicate data insight
• Create front-end data visualisations that succinctly tell a story based on your data analysis. Present data informed conclusions to customers seeking answers.
• Communicate with our internal customers on a regular basis and ensure we deliver analysis\reports timely, ensure the customer understands the analysis or report
• Own the analysis or report requests from the beginning to the end.
• Create data flows, data mining and storage to support front end-visualisation
• Ensure analysis and data storage follows Sky data protection policies

What you'll bring:

Your skills

• Good analytical skills, data literate
• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
• Proficiency with modern BI Tools (PowerBI , Tableau)
• Proficient with data retrieval techniques (writing SQL queries, APIs etc), both on prem and cloud services
• Good presentation skills, able to simplify technical information clearly to senior partners
• Good business analysis skills. Able to establish requirements from non-technical audiences.
• Good attention to detail
• Experience modelling/transforming data
• Experience designing and building metrics/KPIs/scorecards
• Experience designing and building visualisations
• Experience designing and building paginated reports
• Experience with statistical software (R, Python) is a plus.
• Proficient/Advanced in Microsoft Office Suite and o365 tools.
• Ability to operate effectively in a large, complex, and diverse global organization.
