We have an exciting opportunity for a wen designer to join one of the fastest growing areas of Asda. This role is responsible for the creation and implementation of on-brand promotional graphics for the Grocery website across all relevant devices.

Your Role

You will be at the forefront of the design and build of bespoke event pages for the Grocery Home Shopping website.

Collaborating colleagues cross functionally to ensure page designs are on brand and fully aligned.

Review and refine existing processes to drive efficiencies and improvements to how we work

Develop new front-end functionality to improve customer journey.

Review and analyse performance of site activity; pages and banners.

Publish accurate graphics to the site in line with online plan or supplier funding plan

Challenge  and develop existing creative approach.

Ensure that activity & media is delivered on site – on time, accurately & on brand

Lead on the design and build of bespoke event pages for the Grocery Home Shopping website.

Coach junior web designer and wider team on design techniques and principles.

Quality checking & proof reading as required

Publish accurate graphics to the site in line with online activity plan or supplier funding plan

About you

• A design related qualification post GCSE level and strong portfolio of recent work
• Strong knowledge of designing for web standards & browsers
• Expertise in Photoshop & Illustrator along with a basic knowledge of UX principles. Knowledge of Zeplin would useful.
• Proven ability to hand code HTML and good knowledge of CSS and designing fully responsive pages and evidence of using a Content Management System (CMS)
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and the ability to produce a high volume of pages and pages to tight deadlines.
