HS Marston is looking for a Lead Quality Engineer to join us at this exciting time. The Lead Quality Engineer will be responsible for improving and maintaining the Quality requirements across the organisation.
Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will be responsible to the Head of Quality and will undertake the following activities: -
Lead Quality activities to ensure robust and effective production
Champion the use of process robustness tools:
PPAP - (Product Part Approval Process)
PFMEA - (Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis)
RRCA (Relentless Root Cause Analysis
MPR - (Manufacturing Process Review)
FAI – (First Article Inspection)
Develop visual production control plans to build in Quality V’s inspect in Quality
Ensure compliance to customer and internal requirements
Plan / measure / analyse and report Quality deliverables
Implement Zero Defect Initiative (internal and supply chain)
Lead customer / internal investigations using problem resolution tools and techniques
Initiate and drive continuous improvement activities to remove waste and improve efficiency, Scrap, Rework and Repair (SRR)
Advocate an inclusive team environment with a Can Do attitude
Manage Quality Notifications / customer concessions and disposition accordingly
Carry out any other duties as required to support general operations of the Quality Department
Experience:
Demonstrated experience in a Quality (degree or equivalent is desirable)
Experience in relation to fitting, welding & machining is desirable
Engineering background and technically able to identify and resolve problems
The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings / CMM reports and other engineering technical data is required
Candidate should have a good familiarity with expectations associated with aerospace or other comprehensive quality assurance systems, including ISO9000 or AS9100
Experience conducting internal Quality audits or supporting Quality audits by external customers is a plus
