Sidekick is on a mission to make the investment opportunities that are currently only accessible for high net worth individuals, available to everyday retail investors. We are seeing a generational cultural shift where more people than ever before are looking for investment opportunities to help them build wealth. But for those of us not in the wealthiest 1%, we’re limited to passive indexes/ETFs funds or higher risk direct stock picking.

We are building a next-generation investment platform, designed for the under-served aspirational retail investor, who wants to build wealth. We are rethinking and restructuring investment products starting with actively managed baskets of public equities and crypto. We have a team of experts who have the experience and market knowledge to manage a number of portfolios tailored to your risk appetite, with a focus on building long-term wealth.

We are based in London and are committed to supporting flexible working arrangements. We encourage and facilitate regular in-person get togethers to collaborate and to get to know one another. Our aim is to create an open and collaborative working environment that has the flexibility needed by our people to maintain a balance in their individual lifestyles.

We are looking for someone to join very early in our journey. We need people who are excited and motivated but the challenges involved in an early stage start-up. Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone to join us as a Lead Mobile Engineer. This will be one of our first engineering hires and is a very important role for us. Roles in early stage start-ups have a lot of ambiguity and a wide remit and we are looking for someone who is excited about the challenges that involves. You will have a key role in shaping both the mobile architecture, the people we continue to hire and the culture of the company we are building.

To support this the engineering team dedicates one day a week to improving our platform so we feel confident around it’s robustness, performance, security and maintainability.

You will be able to:

• Bring previous experience using Flutter for production mobile applications
• Define our mobile architecture and best practices
• Build elegant mobile applications for the iOS and Android mobile platforms
• Automate the build, testing and deployment of our mobile applications
• Integrate native third party libraries for the iOS and Android mobile platforms
• Improve our engineering principles, coding standards and our tooling
• Support our ongoing hiring and improving the onboarding experience
