What you’ll do:

• As a Lead Developer you will be expected to coach and mentor our engineers, ranging from associate to senior level
• Provide line management for engineers, conducting regular 1-2-1’s and annual performance reviews
• Work with aligned Leads, such as QA to steer the future and technical strategy
• Provide technical experience to drive, steer and support
• Build, support and improve coding standard methodologies to develop testable code at a high quality.
• Take part in key decisions to help guide the team towards scalable and maintainable solutions.

What you’ll bring:

• A fundamental understanding of back-end focused technologies
• A continuous delivery approach with knowledge of containerisation and cloud services.
• Experience with all parts of the development process, such as monitoring and observability, automated CI/CD pipelines, API, GraphQL and backend integrations etc. while collaborating closely in a cross-functional team.
• Experience using TDD to deliver enterprise-quality code
• Creativity and keenness to push forward internal development through participating in guilds, sharing knowledge and keeping on top of the latest technologies.

Our spacious tech hub is under a mile away from Leeds train station, with free water taxis available from Granary Wharf. There’s also plenty of parking in the surrounding streets and at the nearby CitiPark.
