A bit about the job:
The team has recently levelled up the tooling and technology we use to deploy market-leading analytics, and the successful candidates will be leveraging these tools to deliver insight from our rich in-house datasets into the business across different areas. As a team we take pride in developing our people; we offer a range of opportunities for both technical and personal development and take a colleague-led approach to shaping the learning and development agenda across the team.
Our collaborative culture means you’ll quickly be able to tap into the knowledge and experience of colleagues working on projects across the entire UK Life business. We have an exciting few years with lots of opportunities to help the business to deliver their ambitions and we want to hear from people equally excited to get involved.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Programming knowledge and a skill for coding using either R or Python or SQL, and have experience with ML libraries and frameworks
Excellent understanding of a range of analytics, data science and machine learning techniques and associated technologies and how to optimise
A degree in a mathematical or programming-orientated subject or suitable equivalent experience, with strong knowledge of modelling best practice and tooling including delivering in a coherent controlled way into a range of production environments
Demonstrable experience of keeping in touch with developments in data science and technology with an understanding of ways to use and embed in processes
Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and areas of the business, empowering them to learn and deliver new ways of working
What you’ll get for this role:
Salary up to £62,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
Generous pension (starting level Aviva contributes 8% when you contribute 2%)
Eligibility for annual performance bonus
Family friendly parental and carer’s leave
29 days holiday per year plus bank holidays and the option to buy/sell up to 5 additional days
Up to 40% discount for Aviva products
Brilliant flexible benefits including electric cars
Aviva Matching Share Plan and Save As You Earn scheme
