About Us

The Retail Bank division is all about helping people achieve their financial ambitions, supporting the Group’s purpose to Help Britain Recover. Whether it’s saving, spending or borrowing, we want to help our personal and business customers navigate their personal journey.

Our colleagues are making a difference, individually and collectively, through the work they do across the Group. Whatever your role, whatever your level or whatever part of our business you work in, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference.

Core Purpose of the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager to join the Personal Current Accounts & Payments team, which sits at the heart of Retail in the Consumer & Business Banking business. Within the area there are teams specialising in Current Accounts , Payments, Overdrafts and Strategic Product Development.

Our purpose is to provide innovative products and services that deliver value to customers and enhance the way they run their everyday finances – helping them get the most from their money, make purchases safely and responsibly, and protect themselves from unwelcome events.

This would be a great role for someone curious about the lives and experiences of customers, with the passion to suggest and explore ideas that help us improve and innovate!

Why the Lloyds Banking Group Returners Programme?

Unlike some other returner programmes, this is the offer of a permanent role in a supportive working environment from day one. As is most of the world, the team is currently working remotely and this is something we intend to carry on embracing into the future. We expect this role to work in a hybrid way, flexing between working from home and a local office. We recognise that in order to attract the best people we need to be flexible – that ‘normal’ office hours aren’t always doable! Whilst we can’t accommodate every flexible working request, we're happy to be asked.

Since our award winning programme was launched eight years ago, we’ve hired more than 90 passionate professionals back into leadership roles. So if that sounds like you and you’ve taken a career break for at least 18 months then you’re eligible to apply for this returners role.

What’s involved?

  • You’ll produce relevant analysis to decide and recommend what is right for customers and the business.
  • You’ll manage the customer experience, income, costs, risks, and investment priorities for relevant products & services.
  • You’ll focus on maintaining and supporting conduct and operational risks in line with Bank appetite.
  • You’ll ensure decisions go through the required governance to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
  • You’ll be self-motivated to inspire change, and deliver positive outcomes for the business and customers.

So what do we want to see in your style?

  • An ability to collaborate and work with broader team.
  • A strategic approach to meeting customer needs, ability to think laterally, be innovative and creative.
  • The ability to undertake financial analysis.
  • Being comfortable articulating strategy, both verbally and through succinct & informative papers.
  • A knowledge of our product offering as well as the wider market, demonstrating clear understanding of customer, market, conduct, regulatory and competitor trends.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.

What we’ll give you in return

This role is permanent with a regular salary and access to wide range of flexible benefits including private medical care and holiday buying.

We'll help you get up to speed quickly and provide you with challenges that makes a difference to real lives; a positive opportunity to work alongside com

mitted people who care about our customers.

We'll ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process and to perform essential job functions.

So if you're ready to dust off those hard-won skills then apply today and see where the programme will take you...we'd love to hear from you.

At Lloyds Banking Group, we're driven by a clear purpose; to help Britain recover. Across the Group, our colleagues are focused on making a difference to customers, businesses and communities. With us you'll have a key role to play in shaping the financial services of the future, whilst the scale and reach of our Group means you'll have many opportunities to learn, grow and develop.

We're focused on creating a values-led culture and are committed to building a workforce which reflects the diversity of the customers and communities we serve. Together we’re building a truly inclusive workplace where all of our colleagues have the opportunity to make a real difference.
