This role will be 25 hours a week, Monday – Friday. Hours per day will be agreed with your line manager.

The Department

The SME sales team consists of 21 salespeople across 4 different areas which are new business inbound, new business outbound, account management and retentions.

SME sales come from a variety of sources including phone calls, website generation, partner leads, other departments, and self-generation.

The SME unit is an integral part of the business bringing in high volume and high value sales into TalkTalk direct.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The role of a SME sales support exec is working alongside a outstanding new business team selling a variety of products across voice and data product portfolio.

You will be working with a sales manager and sales team who will enhance your key skills to be a success at TalkTalk.

Speaking to businesses across the UK and understanding their needs for our product is key in your role so communication of all forms is key in the role.

Identifying opportunities and working with the sales teams to convert is integral for the success of the SME team.

To be able to respond to customer calls quickly, directly, and concisely using easy to follow instructions.

Required to deliver written communications effectively in a timely manner while also responding with the right answers in limited interruption.

To eventually be able to handle more than one process at a time.(for example, calls, emails and Livechat replies) For each call/email or chat, you will be required to reply to customer questions, and note on our customer database, troubleshoot any issues, provide supporting help documentation, and any number of other tasks, whilst ensuring that the customer/prospect is aware of what is going on

Be able to drive a conversation adapting your style in order to identify any issue.

You will day to day work alongside a dedicated Sales mentor, who will provide and support you through contacting the account base of existing and prospect customers - you will be checking in house system to see if the service is available to them and generating these as leads to your sales buddy - you may be required to call these people and ask if they are interested in pursuing a conversation - therefore asking leading questions which we will provide you to see their interest levels in our services.

· Bespoke Kickstart diary to capture your learnings and progress throughout

· CV/LinkedIn and Job Application support with mock interviews
