This role will be 25 hours a week, Monday – Friday. Hours per day will be agreed with your line manager.

The Department

The Commercial Finance team influence better financial outcomes against delivery of our strategic objectives through great stakeholder relationships and excellent business understanding.

The team provides timely, insightful, and high-quality financial reporting and analysis to support key business decisions. We are actively involved in various commercial business activities and programmes that add value to the business. We develop strong working relationships with Senior Leaders to ensure the results of the department are clearly understood and deliver on their financial and strategic targets.

Roles and Responsibilities:

As a Commercial Finance Support Analyst, you will support the Finance Business Partners in the smooth delivery of periodic financial budgets, reforecasts, and monthly results. You will have the opportunity to analyse data, provide insight, present findings, and develop your understanding of a finance function. Other responsibilities will include supporting the team with ad hoc tasks such as team organisation, excel modelling and financial analysis.

This role will enable you to learn and develop new skills in a highly experienced and supportive Commercial Finance team, to enhance your CV, and provide an excellent start to your career in finance.

Roles will include: Support FBPs with administration responsibilities, data analysis and forecasting. Creation of periodic presentations for review by stakeholders. Track and monitor documents for governance and control. Organise and coordination of weekly meetings. Work with FBPs and the business to collate data and feed into latest views and budgets. Participate and follow up on actions from the weekly forums and committees. Manage ad-hoc requests and conflicting deadlines. Develop understanding of finance departments, in particular commercial business partnering. Develop reporting and presentation skills.
